Banksy – “The Antics Roadshow”

New from British graffiti artist-cum-counterculture icon Banksy comes “The Antics Roadshow,” a slightly satirical yet seriously entertaining documentary regarding anarchists, pranksters and dilettantes the world over. Enjoy :-)

Downtown Calling New York City Premiere

In the late 70s, on the outside, a number of factors would lead many to believe New York City was in a shambles thanks to a weak economy, crime and corruption. Yet through all the socioeconomic rubble came some of the most creative movements ever witnessed through numerous different subcultures. Downtown Calling investigates the landscape and how those movements have had a lasting impact many years after the fact. The New York City premiere of Downtown Calling takes place on Wednesday, July 28th at the New York International Latino Film Festival.

Reflections By Tom Hussey

I found this remarkable little photo series surfing the Internet earlier today which is based around the idea of growing old and reflecting back on our previous selves, the lives that have already been lead, and the job’s that helped to form our younger identities. I see something that all creatively minded photographers strive for in this selection before us, to create imagery that goes beyond the realms of being an image of a persons features and to look into their identity as a whole, who they are and the dreams they have of being. I love the idea of being able to make the viewer question what they are seeing, and applying it to their experiences and own imagination. This series has earned Tom a spot in national magazine in the states Communication Arts and I’d be surprised not to see him nominated for an award on this one, such a simplistic idea executed in flawless fashion. More pic’s follow after the jump.
