Blame it on the Bogi

When it comes to rain jackets, it doesn’t get any more classic than a straight army green. When it comes to reliability, it doesn’t get any better than putting your trust into Danish rainwear makers (since 1979) Elka. For whatever reason, finding this type of staple – outside of surplus shops – seem to be a bit tough going at the moment, but this piece holds very true with a classic cut, concealed buttons, welded seams and pop stud buttons. You may recall Norse Projects teamed with Elka previously on some rain gear in the middle of last winter in some brighter colours, but now that fall is in full swing (at least in Copenhagen), it’s great to see a more muted offering. Speaking of Norse Projects….

They have added the Noreg Canvas Jacket to their A/W 2010 collection which is full of cool jackets. The Noreg Canvas Jacket sports a clean design with a draw-string detachable hood, and two over-sized utility pockets. The fabric supersedes basic cotton with a weatherproof and wax treatment making it more of a technical piece than your basic lightweight parka. Price: EUR 338,00 at the norsestore.com. Norse Projects Kaupang Knit

Norse Projects was established in 2004 in the cold city of Copenhagen, Denmark. The goal was to create a truly international shop in Denmark which combined street, classic workwear and fashion culture, and immersed itself in the best of it. Today Norse Projects is widely recognised as one of Copenhagen’s finest shops. Their goal is to always be at the forefront of the scene, displaying a hand picked selection of clothing and footwear from around the world.
