Dazed & Confused – 3D Special with Daft Punk!

Dazed’s December issue presents a world exclusive feature and 3D cover shoot with robot dance titans Daft Punk. For two years, the French duo have been working on composing a soundtrack for Tron: Legacy – a high-tech 3D adventure set in a digital world, and sequel to the pioneering 1982 film Tron. Dazed & Confused editor Rod Stanley visited them at their studio base in LA for their only interview about this project, and was the first to hear their new music.

Robyn is Killing Me!

The video for Robyn’s track “Don’t Fucking Tell Me What to Do” is the first of its kind, a 3D video using no cameras, written entirely in code, with much of the content fed by fans via a Twitter feed. The first portion of the video features a visualization of Robyn’s lyrics in 3D. The remainder of the video is created by users themselves who tweet what is killing them using the Twitter hash tag, #killingme. These tweets are themselves visualized and credited to the user. The video has the potential to become the infinite video as users can continue to add on to the endless stream of #killingme comments. It is also the ethereal video, as it re- generates with each loading of the URL. Check it out here: http://www.robyn.com/killingme

3D Sunglasses

Stacks Captain 3D Glasses Look Cool and Work for Any 3D Movie. Stacks have produced the first decent looking pair of Circular polarized a.k.a RealD 3D glasses. Stacks noticed that they were unable to find any RealD glasses that didn’t look like a space alien’s Oakleys from 1984. The same ones you are asked to wear in theaters. Stacks is not an eyewear company, but they do make products that fit their lifestyle, and this is one they felt was worthwhile. They double as sunglasses, sans UV protection. Available online in the Stacks Shop. See a demonstration video after the jump.
