Italy-based Camo has released a sneak peek of its SS2011 collection. Taking inspiration from the Italian film, “L’albero degli Zoccoli” by Ermanno Olmi, and the book Fame d’erba by Gianfranco Bini, the “Country Collection” focuses on the Motherland, its language and customs. Designer Stefano Ughetti took a deep look into the roots of Biellese farmers and shepards living a simple and proud life. Using fabrics made in NW Italy, Stefano celebrates his heritage while supporting local industry and Italian know how. The collection still featured many of Camo’s signatures—drop crotch tailored trousers, fitted jackets, and luxe fabrications. The collection is up for best pret-a-porter men’s collection in the “Who is on next” competition organized by Pitti Immagine, Vogue and Altaroma next week. The collection will be at (capsule) Paris June 25-27. I’ve got pics after the jump.
